Anthony Roberson (born February 14, 1983 in Saginaw , Michigan ) is an American basketball player.

Career

College (until 2005)

Roberson averaged 24 points per game in his junior year in high school and received offers from Duke University , Michigan State University and the University of Michigan , but ultimately chose the University of Florida , where he was on the college team Gators played in the NCAA until 2005 .

Professional in the USA (2005 to 2009)

After his junior season in college, Roberson announced his application for the 2005 NBA draft , but was not drafted and then signed by the Memphis Grizzlies in August 2005. During his first NBA season he played intermittently for Arkansas RimRockers, the farm team of the Grizzlies. In October 2006 Roberson was signed by the Golden State Warriors, who released him in early January 2007. Roberson received no contract from an NBA team for the 2007/08 season and therefore played for the Israeli cup winner Hapoel from Jerusalem and at the end of the season six more games for the Istanbul club TTNet from Beykoz , which was bottom of the table at the end of the season the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi descended again. From July 2008 Roberson took part for the New York Knicks in the Summer League and then received a two-year contract with the Knicks. In February 2009, Roberson joined the Chicago Bulls with Tim Thomas and Jerome James in exchange for Larry Hughes.

Europe (2007/08 and 2009 to 2011)

Back in Europe (since 2014)

Roberson started the 2014/15 season in Greece with Ikaros Chalkidas . In autumn 2014 he moved to APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus .
