Anton Fonck

Johann Adam Anton Fonck (* 18th April 1819 in Cologne , † 12. April 1898 in Rudesheim ) was a German administrative officer , district administrator of the district Adenau and the Rheingau district and parliamentarians.

Life

After graduation in 1839 at the Gymnasium in Koblenz Anton Fonck studied at the Universities of Bonn and Berlin law . In 1840 he became a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn . After graduating, he became an auscultator at the Koblenz Regional Court in 1842 .

Fonck was appointed administrator of the mayor's office of Bendorf and district administrator of the Adenau district in 1848 . After the occupation of the Duchy of Nassau by the Kingdom of Prussia , Fonck became the first district administrator of the newly founded Rheingau district in the province of Hessen-Nassau in 1867 . He held the office until 1884. When he left office, he was appointed a secret councilor.

In 1855 Fonck was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives. From 1872 to 1897 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Royal Prussian Institute for Fruit and Wine Growing in Geisenheim .
