The Arrondissement Pointe-à-Pitre is an administrative unit of the French department of Guadeloupe . The main town (seat of the sub-prefecture ) is Pointe-à-Pitre .
Until the French cantons were reorganized in 2015, it consisted of 23 cantons and 14 communes . Since 2015, eleven cantons have been distributed among the municipalities.
