Saint-Louis ( Marie-Galante-Creole : Senlwi ) is a municipality with 2,447 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the north of the island of Marie-Galante . It belongs to the French overseas department of Guadeloupe . The settlement was founded around 1648 when residents of the Antilles settled there. Saint-Louis is a member of the Communauté de communes de Marie-Galante .
