Asbury Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Clay County in the US state of Florida with a population of 8,700 (as of 2010).

Asbury Lake is about 10 km northwest of Green Cove Springs and about 20 km south of Jacksonville . There are no bigger streets.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 8,700 inhabitants were distributed over 3,048 households. The population density was 1000 inhabitants / km². 88.8% of the population identified themselves as whites, 5.7% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 1.3% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.4% to several ethnic groups. 6.7% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 20.8% of all households lived in 48.7% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 86.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.05 people and the average family size was 3.30 people.

33.6% of the population were younger than 20 years, 23.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 28.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 14.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 36 years. 49.3% of the population were male and 50.7% were female.

The median annual income was $ 69,094, with 3.2% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
