Fleming Island is a census-designated place (CDP) in Clay County in the US state of Florida with a population of 27,126 (as of 2010).

Fleming Island is about 10 km south of Jacksonville and about 15 km north of Green Cove Springs .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 27,126 inhabitants were distributed over 10,440 households. 86.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 5.2% as African-Americans , 0.3% as Indians and 4.1% as Asian Americans . 1.5% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.7% to several ethnic groups. 6.4% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 22.1% of all households lived in 41.3% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 79.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.76 people and the average family size was 3.12 people.
30.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 19.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 33.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 17.4% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 40 years. 49.0% of the population were male and 51.0% were female.
The median annual income was $ 86,510, with 4.5% of the population living below the poverty line.
