Asphalt 3D ( Japanese : ア ス フ ァ ル ト 3 デ ィ ー: ニ ト ロ レ ー シ ン グ , Hepburn : Asphalt 3D: Nitro Racing ) is a racing game from the Asphalt series that was developed by Gameloft and published by Ubisoft (in Japan by Konami ) for the Nintendo 3DS on 10 March 2011 in Japan, March 25, 2011 in Europe, March 27, 2011 in North America, and March 31, 2011 in Australia.
Gameplay
Asphalt 3D is a racing game in which the player has to maneuver a car in order to win against computer-controlled drivers on different racetracks . If the car is rammed by other vehicles or hits certain objects too quickly, it will get scratches and dents. This damage can be regenerated by collecting power-ups that can be found on the racetrack. Players receive rewards such as in-game currency and XP points for winning races. If the player collects enough XP points, his level increases. By reaching a higher level, more cars can be bought for in-game currency. The game contains a total of 17 different tracks, all of which were inspired by known locations from reality. According to a developer interview, the game time to complete the career mode is around 18 hours. The game also makes use of the Nintendo 3DS's gyro sensor, which allows players to optionally control cars by tilting the system. The game also supports StreetPass, which allows ghost data and racing statistics to be exchanged with other players. Furthermore, you receive different rewards depending on how many players you have met via StreetPass.
