Life
August Dinklage studied at the Technical University of Hanover and initially worked in the civil service, where he also gained his first experience in sacred architecture. In 1889 he resigned from the civil service and worked freelance in a joint architecture office with Hans Grisebach in Berlin. At the last buildings of the office Grisebach and Dinklage counts elevated train station "Silesian Gate" in Berlin-Kreuzberg in neo-Gothic style, whose design dates back significantly on Dinklage. In 1901 Grisebach left the office, Dinklage made the previous employee Ernst Paulus his new partner, the office was now called Dinklage und Paulus . In 1916 August Dinklage left the office for his part, Paulus continued it with Olaf Lilloe as a new partner until 1925. During the collaboration or partnership with Ernst Paulus, several church buildings were built in Berlin. Dinklage was a member of the Corps Slesvico-Holsatia in Hanover.
