Ernst Paulus (architect)
Ernst Paulus (born August 29, 1868 in Kleve ; † July 25, 1936 in Berlin ) was a German architect .
life and work
Paulus worked in the architecture office “Grisebach and Dinklage” ( Hans Grisebach and August Dinklage ) in Berlin. When Grisebach left in 1901, Dinklage made Paulus his new partner, and the office was now called “Dinklage und Paulus”. In 1910 Dinklage left this office for his part, Paulus continued it with Olaf Lilloe as a new partner. In 1925 he ended his collaboration with Lilloe and teamed up with his son Günther Paulus . This partnership lasted until Ernst Paulus' death in 1936. Paulus had been a member of the Berlin Freemason Lodge Friedrich Wilhelm zur Morgenröthe since 1896
In addition to numerous residential buildings, his church buildings are especially known.
Ernst Paulus died in Berlin in 1936 at the age of 67. His grave is in the Dahlem forest cemetery .
