Augustin-Joseph Antoine Sépinski OFM (born July 26, 1900 in Saint-Julien-lès-Metz , France , † December 31, 1978 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Augustin-Joseph Sépinski who entered religious community of Franciscans in and received on 20 December 1924, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1952 to 1965 Sépinski was Minister General of the Franciscans.

On October 2, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Assuras and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Jerusalem and Palestine . Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cicognani donated him episcopal ordination on November 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem , Alberto Gori OFM, and the Bishop of Metz , Paul Joseph Schmitt . Paul VI appointed him on May 5, 1969 as Apostolic Nuncio in Uruguay .

On July 29, 1975, Paul VI. Augustin-Joseph Sépinski's resignation due to reasons of age.
