The Frankenthal motorway junction (abbreviation: AK Frankenthal ; short form: Kreuz Frankenthal ) is a motorway junction in Rhineland-Palatinate , which is located in the Rhine-Neckar area . This is where the federal motorway 6 ( Saarbrücken - Mannheim - Nuremberg ) ( European route 50 ) and the federal motorway 61 ( Mönchengladbach - Koblenz - Ludwigshafen ) ( European route 31 ) intersect .

geography

The cross lies in the area of ​​the communities Heßheim and Beindersheim . The surrounding towns and communities are Frankenthal (Pfalz) , Großniedesheim , Bobenheim-Roxheim and Heuchelheim . It is located about 15 km northwest of Ludwigshafen am Rhein and about 15 km south of Worms . As an important traffic junction , it connects the A 61 from the Netherlands / Venlo with the A 6 ( France / Paris - Czech Republic / Pilsen ).

The Frankenthal motorway junction is number 59 on the A 61 and number 21 on the A 6.
