Axel Hackert (born December 14, 1984 in Heilbronn ) is a German ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . His brother Michael Hackert is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

The 1.80 m tall winger initially played together with his brother Michael in the youth team of Heilbronn EC , and from the 2001/02 season the right- shooter was on the ice for the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga . During the 2003/04 season , Hackert was appointed to the DEL squad of the cooperation partner Adler Mannheim for the first time , without ever being used by the Adler in the highest German professional league.

In 2004 , the attacker signed a contract with the Hanover Scorpions , for which he made his DEL debut on September 24, 2004. Most of the time, however, Hackert was used at REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga. After a year-long engagement with the second division club Bietigheim Steelers , Axel Hackert switched to the Frankfurt Lions in 2005 , for whom he was allowed to complete 23 DEL deployments, but was only deployed in the second division with the Eisbären Regensburg . For the 2008/09 season Hackert returned to his home club in Heilbronn when he signed a contract with a production license with Adler Mannheim. With the Adler he played for the first time in his time at Heilbronner EC together with his brother Michael in a team. In September 2010 signed a contract with the Heilbronner Falken.

International

With the German junior national team , Axel Hackert competed in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2002 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2004 .
