Bächlein is part of the municipality of Mitwitz , a market in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria . The state border with Thuringia runs not far to the north.

history

1546 is a Wustung called "Bechlein". The hamlet of Bächlein was first mentioned in 1562 as part of the Lower Mitwitz Manor.

Bächlein belonged to the Mitwitz reign in the Holy Roman Empire (HRR) . At the end of the HRR, the place consisted of three deserted farms . The evangelical parish parish to Mitwitz. In 1833 Bächlein had 22 inhabitants. Half of the village still belonged to Mitwitz, the other (Catholic) to Glosberg . In 1877 28 people lived in 10 houses. The Catholic parish was still Glosberg, the Protestants parish to Burggrub . School and post office were in Mitwitz. After the municipal edict of 1818, the rural community of Schwärzdorf was established and Bächlein was assigned to it. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Schwärzdorf was incorporated into Neundorf on July 1, 1972 . Neundorf went on January 1, 1974 in Mitwitz.
