Häusles is a district of the Upper Franconian market Mitwitz in the Kronach district in Bavaria .

geography

Häusles is located about 20 kilometers southeast of Coburg in the Leutendorfer Forest above the Steinach valley .

history

Elisabeth, the abbess of the Cistercian monastery of Sonnefeld, sold the monastery-owned desert "Hewsslins" to five farmers in 1446. They had to pay annual interest and look after the monastery's own forests in Leutendorf, where they held the forestry rights. In addition, the monastery had the right to a tenth of the agricultural income. After the dissolution of the Sonnefeld monastery in 1526, the office of Sonnefeld of Saxony-Coburg held the central rule .

1516 Häusles was called "Heusles" in Urbar mention of the monastery. The place name stands for house and yard. After the death of Duke Albrecht in 1699, Häusles came to Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1705 as the exclave of the Sonnefeld office . In 1826 the office of Sonnefeld came back to Saxony-Coburg in accordance with the Hildburghausen partition agreement .

Häusles was parish in Mitwitz where the children also went to school. In the middle of the 19th century, Häusles became a district of Leutendorf, where the newly built school was also located.

Häusles and Leutendorf were reclassified from the Coburg district to the Kronach district on July 1, 1972 . On January 1, 1976, Häusles and Leutendorf were incorporated into Mitwitz .

In 1987 the hamlet had 24 residents and 6 houses. In 1991 a new 220 kV line was put into operation between Remptendorf and Redwitz an der Rodach , which runs past Häusles around a hundred meters away.
