The Protestant church and the Protestant denominational school were in Mitwitz, three kilometers away. In 1900, the 313-acre rural community had 141 residents, 2 of whom were Catholic and 139 Protestant, and 28 were residential buildings. The wasteland Dickenwustung were led as a district. After the Second World War , the direct location on the inner-German border shaped the place until 1989 . In 1950 the community of Schwärzdorf had 218 inhabitants. The Solitude Bohlswustung was run as a further district. The main town had 180 inhabitants with 23 residential buildings. The Catholics belonged to the district of the Schlosskuratie in Mitwitz. Wustungen

The first deserted areas, settlements in the wilderness, in the Mitwitz- Rotheuler deserted area, arose in the area of the Bavarian district along today's border with Thuringia in the 15th century. The economic basis of the Einödhöfe was initially agriculture on a piece of land that had been cleared. From the 18th century handicrafts increasingly replaced agriculture. The nutrient-poor sandy soil required large block fields as parcel shapes. They were often named after the names of the owners. In 1964, Angerwustung ( ), Bätzwustung ( ), Bohlswustung ( ), Dickenwustung ( ), Hüttenwustung ( ) and Reuterswustung ( ) belonged to the municipality of Schwärzdorf .
