The citizenship election in Bremen in 1955 was the fourth election for citizenship in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen . It took place on October 9, 1955 .
Result
The turnout was 84.0 percent. For the second time after 1946, the SPD won an absolute majority of the seats. Nevertheless, she continued to rule in a black-red-yellow coalition with the FDP and CDU in the Kaisen V Senate .
The KPD received 4.998 percent (seven votes below the five percent threshold). Because of the threshold clause, which was separated according to electoral areas, it came to over five percent in the Bremen electoral area and moved in with four MPs.
