The citizenship election in Bremen in 1951 was the third election to the citizenship of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen . It took place on October 7, 1951.
Result
The turnout was 83.8 percent. The SPD defended its position as the strongest party. With 9.0 percent of the votes, the CDU achieved its worst result to date (2020) in its history at the state level. The SPD continued to provide the mayor in Wilhelm Kaisen ; their new coalition partners in the black-red-yellow coalition were CDU and FDP in Senate Kaisen IV .
