The Ge 2/2 is a small electric locomotive of the former Bernina Railway , today the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) . Only two locomotives of this type were built, originally 61 and 62, since 1961 with the numbers 161 and 162.

Both DC locomotives were procured in 1911 by the Bernina Railway (BB) for pre-tensioning services. The machines , which were still painted brown at that time, were given the numbers Ge 2/2 61 and 62 and were still equipped with Lyra pantographs . After the RhB took over BB in 1942, they were modernized variously; Today they carry a single-arm pantograph and mostly work as shunting locomotives in Poschiavo .

There is a corridor between the stems so that a transition to the train was possible. The use of unprotected crossings is now prohibited even to the staff; consequently the transition plates were removed from the two locomotives. The vehicles are now painted orange.

In July 2018 the Ge 2/2 161 was put back in the brown paint and received back a pantograph.

The Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) has a similar-looking locomotive, the Ge 2/2 49, in its historic vehicle fleet, which was built in 1955 on a chassis from 1912. It was designated as Te 49 from 1975 to 2012. Other similar vehicles exist at the TPF (Te 2/2 11-12, until 1954 referred to as Ge 2/2) and, also from the conversion, the MVR (Te 81-82).
