The nature reserve Bachsystem des Wienbach lies in the area of ​​the city Dorsten in the district Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 683 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection under the key number RE-049 in 2005 , extends north of the core town of Dorsten. The A 31 and the B 58 run through the area, which consists of four sub-areas . South flows the lip and extending the 2169.5 ha large protected area Lippeaue (RE-029) .
