The Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn station is a station of the Deutsche Bahn on the single-track electrified railway line Munich-Giesing Cross Road in Bavaria Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn . It is served by the S7 line of the Munich S-Bahn , which runs between Wolfratshausen and Kreuzstrasse .

history

Since 1892, the communities of Höhenkirchen and Siegertsbrunn, together with other communities, have tried to build a railway line. After the construction of the Munich East – Deisenhofen railway line was given priority by the Bavarian State Parliament , approval was granted on March 2, 1900 after various route planning and finally in 1904 the opening of the local railway, which currently only runs between Munich-Giesing and Aying , as one of the last railway radial lines . According to the Bavarian Local Railway Act of 1884, the land for the railway system had to be acquired by the municipalities. In addition to the Perlach and Aying stations, a spacious reception building was also built in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn to the east of the track system.

After the completion of the line, the local railway traffic also increased steadily. In 1913 there were 18 trains on weekdays and 42 on Sundays; 1927 weekdays 30 and Sundays 44. The number of passengers increased from 128,423 in 1905 to 1,214,000 in 1926.

S-Bahn traffic was officially started on May 28, 1972, initially between Hohenbrunn and Kreuzstrasse until September 30, 1973 with locomotive-hauled push-pull trains.

In 2005, the station was redesigned by the municipality at a cost of 2.2 million euros: The previous central platform gave way to two barrier-free, ground-level, 210-meter-long and partially covered outer platforms. The number of adjacent parking spaces has been doubled to 185 on purchased property and additional bicycle parking spaces with covered shelters have been added. A modern wayfinding system was installed next to the clocks and loudspeakers.

construction

The train station is almost exactly between the districts of Höhenkirchen and Siegertsbrunn. There are two platforms. All trains go on track 1 in the direction of Munich and on to Wolfratshausen , on track 2 trains in the direction of Kreuzstrasse . The platforms have a length of 210 meters and the usual height of 96 cm in most of the Munich S-Bahn network. Bus stop 1 is right next to platform 2, where bus lines 216 and 244 stop. Next to platform 1 is bus stop 2, where line 413 stops.

South of the station there is a siding for the S-Bahn. There are no more tracks.

To the east of platform 1 is the modern station building, which replaces the historic station building.

The scheduled crossing of the S-Bahn trains takes place in the station. Some trains on the S7 end and start here. Some other trains are being strengthened or weakened out of town, as the stations out of town with a platform length of 140 m can only accommodate full trains. (As of 2019) This is where the S-Bahn line 7 and the regional bus lines 216, 244, and 413 meet.
