The Pullach Station was a station on the Isartalbahn from Munich to Bichl . Since 1981 it has been a stop on S-Bahn line 7 of the Munich S-Bahn . The train station is located in the municipality of Pullach in the Isar valley , in Pullach in the Isar valley there are also the stations Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof and Höllriegelskreuth . The station belongs to station category 6 of DB Station & Service and has two platform tracks . The station building is a listed building and has since been acquired by the Pullach community. Considerations are currently underway on how the station building and the surrounding areas can be used and made more attractive in the future.
location
The train station is located at Bahnhofstrasse 10 in the municipality of Pullach im Isar Valley between Bundesstrasse 11 and the high bank of the Isar . It is surrounded on both sides by level crossings , with the barrier systems to be renewed and fully automated by April 2013. The planned underpasses in the place of the two level crossings were abandoned years ago, as it was feared that the site would be overly affected.
history
On June 10, 1891, the Isar Valley Railway started operating from Thalkirchen , initially to Schäftlarn , and then in July to Wolfratshausen . From the beginning there was a train station in Pullach, which was also named Isar Valley Station because of the railway line in the Isar Valley. The station building was built in 1890. The track system could be expanded with the double-track expansion of the Isar Valley Railway in the section from Munich Isar Valley Station to Höllriegelskreuth . Pullach station now had three tracks, tracks 2 and 3 were used by passenger traffic. Track 1, on which the station building was located, was mainly used for freight traffic. This was also equipped with a loading platform and a small goods shed. On January 15, 1900, the station with the Munich Isartalbahnhof – Höllriegelskreuth section of the Isar Valley Railway was electrified. In 1944, 44 local trains operated the Pullach station, most of the connections were suburban trains from Munich Isartalbahnhof to Höllriegelskreuth. In 1973 the station facilities were rebuilt for integration into the Munich S-Bahn system, a track was torn down so that the station became a stop. The remaining two side platforms were brought to a height of 76 centimeters. After the renovation, the station was served every 30 minutes by locomotive- hauled S-Bahn trains on S-Bahn line 10 from Munich Hauptbahnhof to Wolfratshausen. Since May 31, 1981, the station has been served by S-Bahn multiple units on S-Bahn line 7 every 20 minutes; this was made possible by the construction of the southern line tunnel .
S-Bahn station
Today's S-Bahn station has two platform tracks and two side platforms 140 meters long and 96 cm high. There are level crossings at both ends of the platforms. The S-Bahn station is served by the S-Bahn line S7 Wolfratshausen – Kreuzstraße, which runs here every 20 minutes.

Station building
The single-storey station building is located between two two-storey pavilions. The reception building and the pavilions represent a plastered building with exposed brick decor. The pavilions have a hipped roof , the central part a flat roof . A platform hall between the pavilions is attached to the middle section and is oriented towards the main platform. It is supported by three cast iron supports. The station building is now registered as a monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.
