The Gairo Taquisara – Jerzu railway was a narrow-gauge branch line in Sardinia . The line is closed and dismantled.

history

The Italian railway company Società italiana per le Strade Ferrate Secondarie della Sardegna (SFSS) opened on November 16, 1893 the line to Jerzu, which branches off the Mandas – Arbatax railway in Gairo Taquisara . After the SFSS ran into economic difficulties in 1921 and was dissolved, the Ferrovie Complementari della Sardegna (FCS), founded in Milan in 1911, took over rail transport.

On September 14, 1956, rail traffic was given up and replaced by buses.
