Bang (band)

Bang was a Greek pop duo that existed from 1987 to 1991. The members were Thanos Kalliris (vocals) and Vasilis Dertilis (background vocals / keyboards).

The duo won the Greek preliminary decision for the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson in 1987 and was therefore allowed to perform at the contest in Brussels with their pop song Stop . Katerina Kalliri , Mariana Efstratiou and Laura Burke acted as the background choir . They came in tenth place.

After the contest, the group released three LPs and several singles. From 1992 Thanos Kalliris decided to pursue a solo career as a pop singer.
