B. Adhiban (also Baskaran Adhiban ; born August 15, 1992 in Mayiladuthurai , Nagapattinam district ) is an Indian chess master .

He has been an international master since 2008 and became a grandmaster (GM) in 2010 . He fulfilled the GM standards at the Indian championship in Mumbai in 2009 , in May 2010 at a GM tournament in Bhuvaneswar and in August 2010 at the Olomouc Chess Summer Prima Pack Cup . At the Chess Olympiad 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk he played on the first substitute board for India and was used six times, at the Chess Olympiad 2014 in Tromsø he played on the fourth board of the Indian team, which won the bronze medal. In the same year he was used at the team world championship in Bursa on the second substitute board of the Indian team, which reached third place. He also took part with India in the Asian team championships in 2009 in Calcutta (on the top board of the second team that India was allowed to nominate as host) and in Tabriz in 2014 (on the second board). In the Spanish team championship he has been playing for CA Solvay Torrelavega since 2014 , with whom he became champion in 2015 . In 2018 he won the Chess Open in Reykjavík.
