´ Behrendorf is a district of the Hanseatic city of Werben (Elbe) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Behrendorf, a Marschhufendorf , is four kilometers south of Werben and eight kilometers west of Havelberg in the Altmärkische Wische nature reserve in the north of the Altmark . The settlement structure is characterized by a very relaxed development.

Neighboring places are Rengerslage in the southwest, Roggehof and Wendemark in the northwest, Werben (Elbe) in the north, Räbel , Neu Berge and Berge in the east and Giesenslage in the south.

history

Behrendorf was first mentioned in 1209 as Berendorp , when Margrave Albrecht II confirmed his possessions to the diocese of Havelberg. In 1317 Anna, Duchess of Wroclaw pledged three hooves in villa Berendorp to the Commander in Werben . In 1319 she left a court in Berendorpe to the Johanniter Commandery . In 1349 the Dambeck Monastery sold the Werben Hebungen monastery in Behrendorf. In 1351 master master Hermann von Werberg confirmed the dedication of an interest Behrendorf bought by the Dambeck monastery on the occasion of a banquet in the religious house of Werben. In 1355, Margrave Ludwig the Roman pledged the villages of Behrendorf and Giesenslage to Commander Albrecht von Dannenberg. In 1470, the council and church councilors buy a permanent collection of money from a Zweihufenhof in Behrendorf for the parish church. In 1579 there was a personal ue letter from the wife of the Mayor of Osterburg, Steffen Boldemann, about half a hoof in Behrendorf. In 1613 farmer Hans Köhn zu Rethausen bought a tithe from Prigges Hof in return for a loan of 225 thalers . This is still registered as a mortgage in 1777. In 1617 Andreas Goldbeck transferred a Wendtland to Schulzen Chim Meinicke for 100 thalers of 24 silver groschen . In 1652 newcomers from the monastery of Bremen and Holstein came to Behrendorf. On December 20, 1695, the Altmärkische Deichordnung came into force for the Wische. In 1700, according to the Urbar, the Commandery Werben was entitled to taxes from three officials. In 1717 the Onera (taxes and other burdens) was re-regulated by the chamber after measuring six official subjects as part of the equalization. In addition, there was no compulsory meal for Behrendorf. 1727 passed the following public expense of the six part of the Office Tangermünde farmers: 12-20 dollars Bedegeld and Wischerhufe to 4 per Wispel sown on arable the first tax bracket. Incorporations

On July 25, 1952, the community of Behrendorf was reclassified from the district of Osterburg to the district of Osterburg . On February 1, 1974, the two communities Berge and Giesenslage were incorporated into the community of Behrendorf.

Until December 31, 2009, Behrendorf was an independent municipality with the associated districts of Berge and Giesenslage.

By a non amendment agreement, the municipal councils of the community Behrendorf (5 May 2009) and the Hanseatic city have Werben (Elbe) decided (26 May 2009) that their communities and added to a new community named Hanseatic City of Werben (Elbe) combined become. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

Since January 1st, 2010 the districts of Behrendorf, Berge and Giesenslage belong to the municipality of Hanseatic City of Werben (Elbe).

Religions

The Protestant Christians from Behrendorf are part of the parish of Werben, which used to belong to the parish of the town of Werben on the Elbe. They are since 1 July 2018 supervised by the parish area Seehausen-Advertise in church district Stendal in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

Today the Catholic Christians are looked after by the Catholic parish of St. Anna (Stendal) in the Stendal deanery of the Magdeburg diocese.

Transport links

The road from Werben (Elbe) in the direction of Osterburg (Altmark) or Stendal leads through Behrendorf. The nearest train station is in Goldbeck (Altmark) on the Magdeburg – Wittenberge line ; the Goldbeck – Werben (Elbe) railway, which ran via Behrendorf , was shut down in 1971.
