Berlin Camerata

The Berliner Camerata is a chamber orchestra from Berlin . It was founded in 2009 by violinist Olga Pak, who also directs the orchestra. The musicians are international.

The orchestra organized concert series in the Berlin Philharmonic , the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg , the Konzerthaus Die Glocke in Bremen and the Leipzig Gewandhaus . Guest performances took place in the Gasteig cultural center in Munich , in the Liederhalle in Stuttgart , in the concert hall in Oslo and in the city ​​casino in Basel . The orchestra is the organizer of the “BerlinerKlassikSommers” and has performed with well-known artists such as Guy Braunstein , Avi Avital , Yorck Kronenberg , Giuliano Sommerhalder and Gerd Albrecht and young artists such as Yury Revich and Iskandar Widjaja .

In 2015 there was a South America tour through Brazil , Argentina , Peru , Ecuador and Uruguay . In November 2015 the orchestra performed at the Wiener Musikverein and the Tonhalle Zurich .

The repertoire includes works of baroque music , Viennese classic , early romantic and new music . In addition to classical music, the orchestra also works crossover , for example with Sebastian Studnitzky at the Xjazz Festival in Berlin, recording with Nightmares on Wax or performing with Paul van Dyk .
