Vocational school plus

Berufsschule plus , also Berufsschule + , or BS + , is a school trial within the Bavarian school system . The pilot project was started in the 2008/09 school year with the aim of giving particularly capable and capable trainees the opportunity to obtain the technical college entrance qualification during their training .

For this purpose, the trainee attends additional lessons during his vocational training , which prepare for a supplementary final examination in the subjects of German, English and mathematics after 3 years.

The experiment, which was originally planned for the 2010/11 school year, has been extended several times until today (2020).

requirements

At least two years of initial training at a vocational school or technical college must be attended.
The trainee must have a middle school leaving certificate with an average grade of at least 3.5 in the subjects German, English and mathematics, or have an advance permit in grade 11 of the grammar school.

classes

The lessons consist of the subjects German, English, mathematics as well as social sciences in the first year and the following two natural sciences.

The lesson times are set locally, according to the wishes and possibilities of the students. The additional lessons take place either in the afternoon or on Saturdays.

Locations

In order to attend additional classes at a vocational school, it is not necessary to attend the same vocational school regularly.
