The Wieden District Museum is a district and local history museum at Klagbaumgasse 4, dedicated to Vienna's 4th district of Wieden .

The Wieden District Museum was founded in 1952 and found its first home in the office building, at that time Preßgasse 24. After the office building was moved to Favoritenstraße 18 in 1968, small exhibitions were already held. The first museum director was Hans Kloser-Homma.

The closure of the Florabad public bath at Klagbaumgasse 4 in 1978 made it possible to have its own museum building since 1983. Closed from 1992 to 1995 for general renovation, the museum now offers showrooms on three levels with a total of around 200 m². The shower cubicles of the "Tröpferlbath" were left in one room, this room is used for exhibitions by Wiedner artists.

Famous buildings and places in the Wieden such as the Naschmarkt , the Theresianum and the four parish churches (Paulanerkirche, Karlskirche, St. Thekla and St. Elisabeth) are documented in a room on the first floor. In the basement there are objects from Wiedner commercial enterprises, tiles from the historic toilet facility on Schwarzenbergplatz and memories of the line wall , the mills and the Vienna river bridges on the Wieden.

Display boards remind of famous artists, scientists and personalities of the economy who lived and worked on the Wieden. An event hall on the ground floor offers the opportunity for regular readings; the annual special exhibition is also shown here.

The museum has been managed by Felix Czeipek since 1995. The Vienna Chimney Sweep Museum has been located on the 2nd floor since 1985 and provides information on the history of chimney sweeps on around 250 m² .
