The Hernals District Museum is a district museum in Hernalser Hauptstrasse 72-74 in the 17th district of Hernals in Vienna .

The museum is located on Elterleinplatz on the third floor of the former Hernalser Sparkassa, which was built by the architect Josef Grünbeck and city master builder Karl Bittmann in the years 1911 to 1913 in a mixed historicist-secessionist style . The district museum was previously located on the first and second floors of the building, where of the 650 m² museum space, 390 m² was used as exhibition space on the first floor and 20 m² for the archive on the first floor. The museum, which has been closed since autumn 2012, reopened on October 27, 2014 in its new premises.
