Bierdorf is first mentioned in 1033 as Pierdorf , the name probably comes from the Old High German word for pear: pira.
Until the secularization in 1803, Bierdorf belonged to the cloister farm market of Dießen .
Bierdorf was incorporated as a district of Rieden am Ammersee on May 1, 1978 in the market of Dießen am Ammersee.
