Engenried is a district of the market in Dießen am Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

The Engenried State Estate is located about two kilometers west of Bierdorf on a ridge.

Engenried was first mentioned in a document in 1365 as Engeried .

In 1671 two farms are mentioned, both of which can be found in the Dießen monastery.

Finally, Engenried belonged to the cloister yard mark of Dießen until secularization in 1803 .

Around 1878, the two farms, as in neighboring Hübschenried, were sold to the Bavarian state and incorporated into the Achselschwang stud farm .
