geography
The hamlet of Oberbeuern is located about two kilometers east of Obermühlhausen am Beurerbach .
history
The remains of a Roman Villa Rustica have already been uncovered south of the hamlet .
Oberbeuern is first mentioned in 1025 as a buron .
From 1405 a differentiation between Oberbeuren and Unterbeuren can be proven, at that time Oberbeuern consisted of only one farm, the so-called Waidhof.
From 1498 the hamlet belonged to the Bavarian dukes , who gave it several times as a fief . From 1580 they finally gave it to the Hofmark Kaufering as a fief. This belonged to the city of Landsberg, which it sold to the Bavarian Duke Maximilian in 1602 .
In 1622, however, he sold the Hofmark with Oberbeuern to the Donnersberger.
In 1686 the church, built in 1602, was renovated. In 1940 the building collapsed.
Around 1700, three courtyards were finally created from the single Waidhof.
Finally, in 1901, the three farms were merged into one estate with 500 daily work; after changing owners, the Bavarian state estate bought the estate in 1951 and divided the property into five companies in 1954.
