The village of Pitzeshofen is almost directly south of Dettenhofen on a moraine ridge .
history
The village is mentioned for the first time in 1179 as Pucineshoven in a document from the Dießen monastery.
In 1671 eight properties are mentioned, all of which are landable for the Dießen monastery.
From 1696 until secularization in 1803, Pitzeshofen was part of the Klosterhofmark Dießen itself. In 1752 ten properties are mentioned, as well as in 1810.
