history

Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the courtship on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as piping . From it it emerges that Biese was part of Unterkirspel (lower parish) in the lordship of Odenthal at that time .

Under the French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved and Biese was politically assigned to Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded as piping on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey from 1840 . From the Prussian new recording from 1892 he is on Ordnance Survey regularly as piping recorded. Biese belonged to the Catholic parish Odenthal, since 1929 to the parish Schildgen.

With the municipal reform in 1975, Biese came to the city of Bergisch Gladbach.
