William Conrad "Bill" Koch (born June 7, 1955 in Brattleboro , Vermont ) is a former American cross-country skier .

He was the first US cross-country skier to establish himself in the world class. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck he was able to win the silver medal over 30 kilometers.

His biggest sporting disappointment was the performance at the 1980 Olympic Games in his own country, when he could not place in the front field in the woods around Lake Placid .

In 1981 he won the Engadin Skimarathon , and in 1982 the Cross-Country World Cup .
