The diocese of Espinal ( lat. : Dioecesis Espinalensis , span. : Diócesis de El Espinal ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in El Espinal .
history
The diocese Espinal was on March 18, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. built with the papal bull Qui Supremum Imperium from cessions of territory of the diocese Ibagué and subordinated to the archbishopric Popayán as a suffragan . On December 14, 1974, the diocese Espinal was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ibagué as a suffragan.
