The Bistum Tacna y Moquegua ( lat. : Et Dioecesis Tacnensis Moqueguensis ) is an in Peru preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Tacna .

history

The diocese of Tacna y Moquegua was established as the diocese of Tacna on December 18, 1944 from cessions of territory from the archdiocese of Arequipa . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Arequipa as a suffragan . On July 11, 1992, the name of the diocese of Tacna was changed to the diocese of Tacna y Moquegua .
