The Diocese of Zamora ( lat. : Dioecesis Zamorensis in Mexico , span. : Diócesis de Zamora ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese based in Zamora .

history

The diocese of Zamora was on January 26, 1863 by Pope Pius IX. built from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Michoacán and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On July 26, 1913, the Diocese of Zamora gave up parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Tacámbaro .
