Blacha is the name of an old Silesian noble family . The parent company was Lubie in the Duchy of Tost in Upper Silesia or in today's Silesian Voivodeship .

history

The Blachas were counted among the old knights of the Quadi and Lygians in Freiherr von Abschatz 's "Bardenliede" with the name Plach . Nikolaus v. Was first mentioned in a document in 1466. Blacha. He was awarded Teschen-Tost Lubie in 1477 by Duke Przemislaus III . In the following centuries they acquired further property in Silesia, e.g. B. in Rybna , Bobrek , Gohle , Thule , Borkewitz , Marienfeld , Stradam , Ober-Bögendorf bei Schweidnitz , Kobyllno etc. Many Blachas served the dukes of Silesia and the kings of Prussia. They were district administrators, assessors , prelates , canons , canons and officers in the Prussian and Austrian regiments. The von Blacha (and Lubie) family branched out into a Roman Catholic and Lutheran Evangelical line.

The family coat of arms shows a split shield, the right side of which is red, inside a white lily, the left part silver-red, inside a white lily. Between these lilies in the middle an arrow, with changing colors, half red in the white, half white in the red field. A red arrow pierces the helmet.
