Bliedungen is a district of the town of Bleicherode in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

geography

The district of Bliedungen is about ten kilometers north of Bleicherode with the neighbors Gratzungen and Königsthal along the saddle of the two river valleys Helme and Bode on the state road 1034 to the south. At 305 meters, the Stecksberg is the highest point in the surrounding area.

The district is traversed by the Bliedebach , which rises not far from the development boundary.

history

Bliedungen was first mentioned in a document on April 10, 970. Tradition has it that the village was founded by the manor of the same name. On July 1, 1950, the community of Friedrichsthal was created through the merger of the previous communities Bliedungen and Gratzungen.
