history
Mitteldorf, like the immediately adjoining Oberdorf, was first mentioned in a document as Roldesleiben on April 1, 1262. At the end of the 13th century a small church was built. In 1336 it appears in the tithe book of the Nordhäuser Domstift St. Crucis as Roldysleiben inferiori. The naming in middle and upper village only prevailed at the beginning of the 17th century.
On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Wipperdorf was created through the merger of the previous municipalities of Mitteldorf and Pustleben.
Mitteldorf was incorporated into the city of Bleicherode on January 1, 2019 with the municipality of Wipperdorf.
