Blind Dating is an American comedy film of director James Keach from the year 2006 with Chris Pine in the lead role.

action

Blind Danny Valddesechi volunteers for a risky experiment that can restore his eyesight. A microchip is implanted in the visual cortex of his brain, which is connected to a camera, so that at best he can see blurred black and white images. During the tests, he meets a beautiful Indian nurse, Leeza.

Since Danny is still a virgin at the age of 22, his brother Larry, who runs a limo service, gets him a series of incredibly disastrous blind dates . When Danny finally realizes that he has fallen in love with Leeza, she tells him that she can no longer see him because she was promised an arranged marriage. Danny believes Leeza stopped pursuing their relationship because he is blind. He becomes depressed and stops taking the tests necessary for his brain surgery.

Danny's family, his eccentric psychotherapist Dr. Evans and ophthalmologist Dr. Perkins advise him to continue as this is his only chance to see again. His operation is successful. This is the first time he sees the faces of his family, but not the faces of Leeza, who did not come and are reluctantly preparing for their engagement party. The experiment soon proves to be a failure, however, as the fragile prosthesis moves in his brain, clouding his already weak eyesight, causing Danny to go blind again.

When he realizes that he really loves Leeza, he storms into the engagement party and confesses his love to her. After Danny and Leeza kiss, the planned wedding is canceled. Danny and Leeza start over and learn more about each other's families and cultures.
