The women's two-man bobsleigh competition at the 2020 Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships was held on February 21 and 22 in a total of four runs. Like all competitions at the World Championships, it was held on the ENSO ice track in Altenberg.

After changing countries from Canada to the United States , Kaillie Humphries was able to win the gold medal together with her new pusher, Lauren Gibbs . While it was the first world championship title for Lauren Gibbs, it was the third world championship title for Kaillie Humphries after 2012 and 2013 , which brought her to level with Sandra Kiriasis after having won two-man bobsleigh competitions . The junior world champions Kim Kalicki and Kira Lipperheide from Germany surprisingly secured silver . The battle for bronze was exciting until the fourth and final run, and in the end the Canadians Christine de Bruin and Kristen Bujnowski were able to move up from fourth to third place in the fourth run. The first day of the competition was overshadowed by four falls, which luckily went off lightly.

Run 2

Both the Italian and Romanian teams, which had crashed in the first run, did not compete in the second run, although they had reached the Zeil despite the crash. In the second run there were two more falls. The ninth place German bobsleigh, consisting of Laura Nolte and Ann-Christin Strack , fell, but still reached the goal. The second Italian bobsleigh, consisting of Giada Andreutti and Silvia Taini , also fell. The pusher Silvia Taini fell out of the sled. Due to the rules of the IBSF , the bobsleigh was then disqualified and the previous times canceled.
