Boris Tišma (born February 20, 2002 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian basketball player . He plays in the position of the small forward .
career
Boris Tišma started his career in 2013 in his hometown Zagreb in the youth of KK Dubrava . After two years in Croatian basketball, 13-year-old Tišma moved to Spain in the summer of 2015 , with Real Madrid's offspring . There he first started in the U-14 ( Infantil A ) and then went through several ages until he joined the U-18 team ( Júnior ) in the 2018/19 season , with which he won the Spanish championship as well as the prestigious and in As part of the EuroLeague , the Adidas Next Generation Tournament won. At the same time, he also played in the second team of the Real Madrid B club in the fourth division EBA adult division. In the 2019/20 season he was again in the squad of the U-18 and B-team, but also made his league debut on January 12, 2020, at the age of 17, in a game against local rivals CB Estudiantes ACB . In that season he came to another appearance in the professional squad against Basket Saragossa in 2002 , in which he scored his first two points for the Real Madrid senior squad. At the time the EBA league was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , he was one of the pillars of the B team with an average of 13.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Boris Tišma was added to Real Madrid's first squad for the 2020/21 season.
National team
Boris Tišma competed with the Croatian U-16 team in the 2017 European Championship, where he failed with his country selection in the semi-finals to France and after another defeat against Serbia in the game for third place ultimately finished fourth. A year later he was again with the Croatians in the finals of the U-16 European Championship. This time his team prevailed against Spain in the final 71:70 and won the gold medal. Boris Tišma was one of the pillars of his selection and achieved an average of 18 points and five rebounds over the course of the tournament. In the final he led his team with 24 points and was subsequently elected to the All-Tournament Team.
