The Bréda is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the Belledonne massif, just below the Croix de Chaurionde mountain cross , in the municipality of Le Haut-Bréda . It generally drains in a northerly direction through the natural landscape of the Grésivaudan , strikes a hook to the west in its estuary section and flows into the Isère as a left tributary after a total of around 32 kilometers in the municipality of Pontcharra . On its way, the Bréda mainly crosses the Isère department , but also forms the border with the Savoie department over a distance of around five kilometers .
