Branko Mamić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Бранко Мамић ; born August 24, 1980 in Novi Sad , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian ice hockey player who was national champion with both Vojvodina Novi Sad and Partizan Belgrade .

Career

Branko Mamić began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Vojvodina Novi Sad , with which he became Yugoslavian champion in 2002 . In 2005 he moved to league competitor HK Partizan Belgrade and was able to win the Serbian-Montenegrin championship with this in 2006 and the Serbian championship in 2007 and 2008 after the breakaway of Montenegro . After returning to his hometown for a year, where he now played for HK Novi Sad , he left Serbia for the first time in 2009 and joined the Eaters Geleen , from which he was only used in the cup competition , which he played with the team the province of Limburg could also win. During the season he returned to Partizan Belgrade and won the Serbian championship again with the capital city team. He then moved to Hungary, where he was on the ice for the Ferencvárosi TC both in the Hungarian league and in the multinational MOL league . In 2011 he moved to Sweden, where he played for three years at Varberg HK in the fourth division 2 . After promotion to Division 1 in 2014 , he ended his career.

International

For Yugoslavia, Mamić took part in the U18-D European championship in 1997 and the U18-C European championship in 1998 as well as the U20-D world championship in 1999 and the U20-C world championship in 2000 .

In the men's area, Mamić played internationally at the World Championships in 2001 and 2002 for Yugoslavia in Division II. After the fall of the Balkans, he was on the ice for Serbia and Montenegro in Division II in 2003 , 2004 and 2005 . He also played for the team in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . In the end, he played for the Serbian selection at the World Championships in 2009 and 2011 , when he was the top scorer among the tournament's defenders, also in Division II and in 2010 in Division I.
