Brennbichl is a village in the Tyrolean Oberland . Part of the town in the Imst district of the state of Tyrol ( Austria ) belongs to the municipality of Karrösten , while another part is part of the city of Imst . Brennbichl is one of the places in Austria that are located in several municipalities .

geography

The place is at the foot of the Grombichl ( 998  m above sea level ), the southwestern foothills of the Tschirgant , halfway between Imst and Inn , above the confluence of the Pigerbach in the Inn. This is where the Imst junction of the Inntal A 12 motorway is located , from which you pass the town in the direction of Imst.

Infrastructure

In Brennbichl-Imst there is the higher technical college HTL Imst (construction technology, interior construction, IT college), as well as the youth hostel Imst Romedihof , which is located in the municipality of Karrösten.

Attractions

The church to the Hll. Engeln , built 1965–67 according to the plans of the Imst architect Norbert Heltschl and listed, and the Engelbrunnen , designed in 1993 by the Imst artist Werner Abraham.

The nearby royal chapel , located in the municipality of Karrösten , was built in 1855 to commemorate the accidental death of the Saxon King Friedrich August II. , Serves as a burial place for Friedrich Christian of Saxony (1893–1968) and his relatives.

A route of the Jakobsweg ( Jakobsweg Tirol ) runs through Brennbichl .
