Bruno Casimir Albert Emil Ferdinand Prince of Ysenburg and Büdingen (born June 14, 1837 at Büdingen Castle ; † January 26, 1906 there ) was 3rd Prince of Ysenburg-Büdingen (from 1861).

family

He was the son of Ernst Casimir II. Prince of Ysenburg and Büdingen (1806–1861) and Thekla Countess of Erbach-Fürstenau (1815–1874).

Ysenburg married Princess Mathilde zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich on July 31, 1862 in Lich (* December 12, 1842 in Lich; † September 11, 1867 at Schloss Büdingen), the daughter of Prince Ferdinand zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1806-1876). This first marriage had four children. His second marriage was on September 30, 1869 in Rüdenhausen Bertha Countess zu Castell-Rüdenhausen (born July 4, 1845 in Rüdenhausen; † July 5, 1927 at Büdingen Castle), daughter of Count Adolf zu Castell-Rüdenhausen (1805–1849) . This second marriage had eight children.

His son Wolfgang succeeded him as the fourth and last Prince of Ysenburg-Büdingen (from 1906). His daughter Emma married Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach on April 14, 1898 .

Life

Bruno Ysenburg and Büdingen studied at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen law . In 1857 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . After graduating, he became a kuk major.

As a registrar from 1861 to 1906 he was automatically a member of the 1st Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . From 1878 to 1889 he was second president there, from 1889 to 1900 president.
