Buckowseerinne nature reserve (May 2016)

The Buckowseerinne nature reserve is located in the municipality of Schorfheide in the Barnim district in Brandenburg . It lies within the 1291 km² Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve .

The area with the identification number 1450 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of May 24, 2004 . The 511 hectare nature reserve with the Großer Buckowsee extends northwest of the core town of Eberswalde . The A 11 runs along the western edge, the L 238 state road through the area and the L 23 to the east. The 73.5 hectare Üdersee extends to the southwest and the 765 hectare Werbellinsee to the northwest .
