Burchard Adam von Richter
Burchard Adam Richter ( Russian : Борис Христофорович Рихтер, * 12. November 1782 , † 15. March 1832 in Dresden ) was a lieutenant general in the Imperial Russian Army with German-Baltic origin.
Military career
From 1797 he served as a lieutenant in the 6th Grenadier - Regiment of Tavrichesky and was 1803 in the Life Guards placed Regiment on horseback. With this regiment he took part in the campaign against the French in 1805 and was honored for his services in the Battle of Austerlitz . In 1807, now with the rank of captain , Egersky was ordered into the Life Guard Regiment and deployed in the Russian campaign in 1812 . On March 18, 1810, he was promoted to colonel . Because of his extraordinary services in the Battle of Kulm , he was promoted to major general on August 17, 1813 . In 1815 he was appointed brigade commander and led the 3rd Brigade of the 3rd Grenadier Division . In 1816 he took over command of the Finland Guard Regiment, with this regiment he had been deployed in France . On February 3, 1821 he was appointed commander of the Imperial Guard and served in Poland in 1821 , when he was promoted to Lieutenant General, he became chief of the combined guard and grenadier detachment of the Reserve Corps , which was stationed in Warsaw. In 1829 he received the appointment as adjutant general of the Tsar Nicholas I (1796-1855) and was also commander of the Guards and Grenadier Division in Warsaw. On the night of November 16-17, 1830, Richter was captured by armed rebels and remained in their custody until September 3. After his liberation, he took over the 3rd Infantry Guard Division and died suddenly on November 7, 1832 in Dresden.

Burchard Adam von Richter came from the German-Baltic noble family von Richter . His father was the civil governor of Livonia Christoph Adam von Richter (1751–1815) from Riga , who was married to Margaretha Dorothea Freiin von Budberg (1759–1809), their descendants were:
